Jimmy Harold Fisher, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Brownwood, on January 31, 2025 at the age of 79. Jimmy was born on December 9, 1945 to James Elmer Fisher and Dora Ojuanna Shaw Fisher in Brady, where he lived most of his life until moving to Brownwood.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Poe Fisher, his children James Fisher, Mark Fisher, Heather English, and her husband Patrick.

Jimmy’s greatest joy lives on in his grandchildren, Jimmy Fisher, Kaitlyn Fisher, Cody Fisher, Conner Fisher, Harrison English, and Hudson English. He cherished his role as a grandfather, and his love and guidance will be forever remembered by each of them.

Jimmy is also survived by his siblings. Carolyn Wright, Elton Fisher and wife, Juanita, David Fisher and wife, Beth, and Betty Nelson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Kathryn Geno, Margaret Shuffield, James Fisher, Merle Stanley, Billie Adams and Leslie Fisher.

Jimmy loved hunting, fishing, shooting but especially visiting all his friends and sharing stories preferably at the gun shows or shoots.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Special thanks to his good friends for all the visits and phone calls, great neighbors for helping us so much, Dr. James Hays and Joe Williams for the outings and their time. Also, Kinder Hearts Hospice Lainey Hall and staff for caring for all of us.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. A service celebrating his life will follow at 2:00 PM that same day. The graveside service will take place immediately following the service at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady.

Online condolences, memories and tributes can be given to the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
