BRECKENRIDGE – The Brownwood Lady Lions placed third as a team and the Brownwood Lions came in fourth at the Breckenridge powerlifting meet on Thursday, their first outing of the season.

The girls’ effort was paced by Sidney Adkins, who finished first in the 132-pound weight class, followed by Emera Lombrana (2^nd in the 114s), Kendall Ratliff (2^nd in the 132s), Aliyah Berndt (2^nd in the 220s), Leslie Rios (3^rd in the 220s), Allison Reyna (4h in the 165s), Kynley Martin (4^th in the 181s), Amiyah Avalos (5^th in the 148s), Ashley Robinson (6^th in the 123s), and Jalynn Carillo (6^th in the 148s).

For the Lions, Logan Flores in the 275s and Aidan Packheiser in the super heavyweights both placed first, trailed by Levi Pearson (2^nd in the 181s), Preston Cook (4^th in the 148s), Gus Gonzales (4^th in the 242s), Raul Eberhardt (5^th in the 242s), Tanner McDaniel (6^th in the 114s), and Daylan Ansons (6^th in the 148s).

The Lions and Lady Lions will be back in action at 4 p.m. Thursday at Abilene Wylie.
