As of 2:45 p.m. Sunday, Brookeshire’s was still open to the public despite a vehicle crashing through one of the outer front walls of the grocery store earlier in the day.

According to the Brownwood Police Department, “An elderly woman hit the gas instead of the brakes. There was no malice and no criminal offense, just the traffic accident.”

No injuries were reported.
