Linda Kaye Thomas Culpepper

Linda Kaye Thomas Culpepper was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the age of 79. A visitation for Linda will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., January 24, 2025 at San Saba’s First Baptist Church in San Saba, Texas, a funeral service will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. and will be officiated by Rev. Bill Proctor. Interment will take place at New Hope Cemetery following the funeral service. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home in San Saba.

Linda was born to Pete and Flovell Thomas on October 1, 1945 in Big Spring, Texas. She graduated from Coahoma High School and Dallas Baptist College, and received her Master’s degree from Sul Ross State University. She was an elementary school teacher for 42 years, having served in Kress, McCamey, Monahans, Pfulgerville and San Saba.

Linda and Gary lived in San Saba for 20 years, and she worked as the financial secretary at San Saba’s First Baptist Church for 10 years after retirement from teaching. Linda was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Grandmas Prayer group and Presbyterian Women.

Her survivors include Gary, her husband of 61 years, her daughter Tammy (Kile) Watson, her grandchildren Zachary, Luke, and Caleb Watson, and Hannah (Josh) Robbins.  She is also survived by her sister Jerri Petmecky, and nephews Thomas and Stephen Petmecky.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations in Linda’s name to the Mission’s Fund of the New Hope Presbyterian Church: 9615 FM 2732 San Saba, Texas 76877
