Abelardo Ramirez Jr.

Abelardo (Abby) Ramirez, Jr. was born August 24, 1954 in Nampa, Idaho to Abelardo Ramirez, Sr. and Maclovia Morante Ramirez (both preceding him in death). Abby passed away in Brownwood, TX on January 13, 2025 at the age of 70.

Abby attended school at Brady High School and joined the Navy shortly after high school. Abby returned back home to Brady and worked as a meat butcher at the Red & White grocery store and worked in several restaurants as a head cook. Abby was a very good cook and he enjoyed cooking. Abby worked at Load Craft as a welder for many years. Abby was a good person, he knew how to make everyone laugh, he was a jokester.

Abby was preceded in death by brothers: Manuel Ramirez, Abraham Ramirez and Joel Ramirez.

Abby is survived by his sons: Michael James Ramirez of Marble Falls, TX, Abelardo Ramirez, III and wife Christine of Victoria, TX, and Matthew Ramirez of Spicewood, TX. Grandchildren: Kody Michael Ramirez of Horseshoe Bay, TX, Avery Nina Ramirez of Goldthwaite, TX, Laurien Anjel Ramirez and Cristian Diego Ramirez of Greeley, CO. and Sean Satsky of Victoria, TX. One great granddaughter Lexy Michelle Garner of Horseshoe Bay, TX. Siblings: Paul Ramirez (Susanna) of San Angelo, TX. Saul Ramirez and David Ramirez of Brady, TX, Carmen Marentes (Nick), Abel Ramirez (Sara), Noemi Ramirez, Elizabeth R. Espinosa, Rachel Garza (Benny) all of Brownwood, TX. Rebecca Zambrano of McKinney, TX. Numerous nieces and nephews. Abby we are going to miss you very much and will always love you, you will forever be in our hearts. Love you big brother, this isn’t a good bye but a see you later and we will see each other again very soon.

Memorial service will be on January 25, 2025 @ 10:30 a.m. at The House of Jireh, 800 E. 11th Street, Brady, TX.
