Peggy Sue Christian Parsons

Peggy Sue Christian Parsons, age 67, of Brownwood, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, January 24 at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood.

Peggy was born on January 1, 1958 to Henry Bryant and Ada Ion Rosenau Christian, in Brownwood. She graduated from Brownwood High School in 1976. Peggy married the love of her life; Ricky M. Parsons and they began their beautiful love story on November 10, 1984.

Peggy was extremely creative. For a couple of years, she managed Ashburne Ice Cream Shop and loved to get new ideas for cake decorating. She loved being a homemaker and taking care of people. Peggy was a former member of Concord Baptist Church and Victory Baptist Church where she taught Vacation Bible School and children’s Sunday School. Peggy always had a big smile on her face. She loved helping people and enjoyed making them smile and laugh.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Ricky Parsons; brothers, David Christian and his wife Cheryl of Abilene and Randy Christian of Brownwood; close friend, James Davis of Brownwood, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Peggy was preceded in death by both of her parents.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations for Peggy be made to: Concord Baptist Church 6162 FM 586, Bangs, TX 76823, 325-642-6473; Texans On Mission www.texansonmission.org; or The Salvation Army of Brownwood 403 Lakeway Dr, Brownwood, TX 76801, (325) 646-5369.
