May Tigers 72, Santa Anna 18

SANTA ANNA – The TABC Class 1A No. 14 May Tigers improved to 21-1 on the season and 5-0 against District 21-1A competition thanks to their 20th consecutive victory overall, 72-18 at Santa Anna Tuesday.

May led 24-5 after one quarter, 46-8 at halftime, and 63-13 through three periods.

Scoring for the Tigers were Kobey Morris with 20 points along with Brody Stice with 16, JD White with 12, Ben Harrell with seven, Jackson Lusk and Tyran Perry with four apiece, and Wyatt Hardy, Kaiden Adams and Mikey Scheriger with three points each.


The Tigers host Blanket Friday.

May Lady Tigers 42, Santa Anna 24

SANTA ANNA – The May Lady Tigers reeled off a 12th straight victory and remained undefeated in District 21-1A action with a 42-24 road win over Santa Anna Tuesday.

The Lady Tigers (14-8, 7-0) led by a 9-6 count after one quarter, 22-6 at halftime, and 31-17 heading to the fourth period.

May received 15 points from Jordyn Gerhardt, 12 from Mia Musick, four from Cortney Harper, three each from Chloe Lord, Summer Hicks and McKenna Landes, and two points from Aubree Gerhardt.

The Lady Tigers welcome Blanket Friday.

Zephyr Bulldogs 69, Richland Springs 62

RICHLAND SPRINGS – The Zephyr Bulldogs remained atop the District 25-1A standings with a 69-62 road victory over the Richland Springs Coyotes Tuesday night.

Zephyr (13-10, 5-0) led 19-15 after one quarter and 43-22 at halftime, but Richland Springs closed to gap 57-44 after three periods.

The Bulldogs received 28 points from Reese Hamm, 14 from Bauer Blair, 11 from Wyatt Stevens, six each from CJ Byers and Hunter Davidson, and two points apiece from Cooper Walls and Spencer Marwitz.

Richland Springs was sparked by 19 points from Hutton Rogers, 14 from EJ Aviles and 12 points from Eli Hutchins.

The Bulldogs host Priddy Friday night.
