Thomas Howard Hammer, 54, of May, TX, passed away on January 1, 2025, following a brief illness.

Thomas was born on January 23, 1970, to Aubrey Allen and Billie Jean Hammer. He was the youngest of six children. Thomas graduated from May High School in 1988 and resided in and around the May area for his entire life. He worked in the concrete construction business, a trade he learned from his dad and big brother, Doug. Thomas loved hunting and fishing, and he really enjoyed raising his dwarf Pygmy goats and chickens, but there was not much he loved more than his dog, Princess. Thomas was loved by many and will be remembered for his kindness towards others.  Thomas accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior and few years back and enjoyed the peace that only comes from a relationship with Christ. Though he had some health struggles, he knew the One that held his future.

Thomas is survived by his sisters, Linda Hammer and Tracey Woody, both of Abilene, TX, and Keily Turner (James) of Bangs, TX, along with several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and some very special family friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, AA and Billie Jean Hammer, his older brother and sister, Douglas Hammer and Judy Jackson.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18 at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
