GEORGETOWN – The Brownwood Lions soccer team wrapped up play in the Georgetown Governor’s Cup event Saturday with a 1-0 victory over Belton, their first of the season.

Alejandro Vaquera scored the goal for Brownwood (1-0), which earlier in the tournament dropped matches to Beaumont United, 1-0, and Manor New Tech, 3-0.

The Lions (1-2) will next travel to Snyder for a 6 p.m. Tuesday road contest.
