Donnie Lynn Gay, 80 of Brownwood, Tx passed away December 21, 2024. He was the youngest of three, born to John Fred and Katie Lou (Wagner) Gay on December 29, 1943. He served in the US Army Sig Core from 1964 to 1970. In 1970, he was married his wife Jamie (Thixton)Gay. He later retired from the telephone company. He was a beloved Father and Papa.

Donnie is survived by his children, Rusty Gay and wife Kathy Gay of Brownwood, son James Gay and Gary Ware of rising star, daughter Shana Sliger of Brownwood; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Katie Gay, his siblings, Jerry Gay and Nelda Wommack, his wife, Jamie Gay and his daughter, Jimi Simmons.

A Come and Go Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
