Emma Ella Louise Singleton

Emma Ella Louise Singleton, age 82, of Joshua, formerly of Brownwood, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2024. Funeral services for Louise will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, December 27, at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:00PM.

Louise was born on May 26, 1942 in Brownwood to Ceburn and Maggie Johnson. After graduating from Brownwood High School, she attended college for a short time. Louise married the love of her life, Harvey Singleton on May 26, 1960 in Brownwood. She worked as a check processor for several banks around central Texas before she retired and devoted her life to spending time with her family.

Louise is survived by her son, Eddie Joe Singleton and wife Susan of Joshua; daughter Reana Howery of Joshua; grandchildren Amanda Seekins and husband Rhett of Burleson, Clayton Singleton of Burleson, Chris Howery and wife Lisa of Burleson, Randi Howery and husband Jason Shelton of Eastland, Kassie Locker and husband Walter of Bowie; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter Blair King; brothers Gene Johnson and wife Glenda of Joshua, Johnnie Johnson and wife Mildred of Everman; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ceburn and Maggie Johnson of Brownwood; husband, Harvey Singleton of Joshua, brother, Gerald Johnson and wife Patsy Johnson of Brownwood, son-in-law, Randy Howery of Joshua, and sister-in- law, Laneta Keeton Carroll of Brownwood.
