Bangs ISD issued the following press release Monday morning :
Bangs ISD is set to re-introduce its Middle School Tuesday, Dec 17th at 5pm with an open house. Over the last year Bangs ISD, with the help of Sullivan Construction out of Seguin, has brought back some of the school’s storied past and renovated its Middle School which served as its high school for quite some time.
“We had quite the vision of honoring the traditions and the stories the building holds but still wanted to modernize some aspects of the school. I think Sullivan Construction, did a great job in doing just that. This is going to be a great celebration for our students, staff, alumni, and members of our community here in Bangs.
The renovations included redoing the campus administration offices, the classrooms, and putting back some history into the “wooden hallway” that has become a homecoming staple for the Bangs Alumni.
“During homecoming week the Bangs Alumni still come walk the “wooden hallway” sharing stories and looking at old classroom photos that date back to the 1920s. It’s a really unique tradition and we love our alumni coming back year after these to visit.
The open house is set for 5pm, Dec. 17th.
