DUBLIN – The Brownwood Lions began play in the Dublin tournament Thursday morning with their fourth consecutive victory, 69-42 over Class 1A No. 6 Huckabay.

The Lions jumped out to a 23-9 lead after one quarter, which grew to 46-19 at halftime, and stood at 56-40 through three periods.

Ross Strasner scored a team-high 24 points followed 17 points from Casey Friebel, 12 from Durham Brown, eight from Elias Perez, three from Braeden Stacks, two each from Weston Wolf and Devin Eanes, and one point from Bennett Windham.

The Lions (6-2) are back in action at 2 p.m. today against Coleman, then battle host Dublin at 8 p.m. Friday.
