The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the commencement of the 16th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade, presented by AccelHealth. The festivities will begin this evening at 6:15 PM, bringing the community together for one of the most anticipated holiday traditions in Brownwood.  The parade will be available to watch on koxe.com via Live Streaming Video HERE.
This year’s Grand Marshal is Ann Jones, owner and broker of Ann Jones Real Estate. A proud native of Brownwood, Ann founded her real estate office in 2011, which consistently ranks among the top in Brown County. Beyond her professional success, Ann is a dedicated community leader. She serves on several boards, including Howard Payne University’s Academy of Freedom, the Hendrick Hospital Foundation, and the Texas A&M Rural Health Brownwood Stakeholders Team.
Ann has also served two terms on the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce Board, including a term as president. Her extraordinary contributions to the community have earned her accolades such as Brownwood Woman of the Year and the prestigious Texas Governor’s Yellow Rose designation. As Grand Marshal, Ann will lead the parade, exemplifying her commitment to leadership and community spirit.
The parade will start in front of the library on Adams Street, proceed up Adams to Center Street, then turn onto South Broadway in front of the courthouse, where the judges will evaluate entries for category awards. The route will continue down Fisk Street and Baker Street before concluding at the Coliseum.
Parade participants are reminded to check in as follows:
• Float participants: Check in between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM in front of the Coliseum and proceed to the assigned staging area.
• Riders on floats: Can be dropped off at the Coliseum and will walk to their designated float.
• Non-float participants (horses, dignitaries, decorated cars, bands, and walkers): Check in between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM in front of the library and will be directed to their staging area.
To ensure safety, participants handing out candy must distribute it from walkers—not from floats—to prevent children from entering the road.
