Feed your body and soul at the Chili Supper and Art Sale, Friday Dec. 6, from 4 to 6:30 pm at the Brownwood Art Center, 215 Fisk.  Tickets are $10, and can be purchased in advance at the Art Center, weekdays from 2-6 pm.  Tickets will also be available Dec. 6 at the door.

The meal will be served from 4 to 6:30 pm, and includes chili, cornbread, all the fixin’s, two cookies, and a drink for $10.  Eat in the Art Center gallery, or take it to go.

The fundraising event also includes a miniature and small art sale, and a silent auction.  Art sale items will be affordably priced.  The art works are donated by local artists to support the Art Center.  Christy Swann, one of the organizers of the event, says  “This fundraiser has been popular with the community for years, and we look forward to seeing old members and new faces too!”

The silent auction includes specially selected artworks.  Bidding opens Thursday Dec. 5 at 2 pm, and continues through Thursday Dec. 12 at 6:00 pm.

The Brownwood Art Association is always welcoming new members and volunteers.  Gallery exhibits change regularly, and groups that meet regularly include Photography, Fiber and Textile Arts, People Painters, Open Studio, Creative Pen, and a Drum Circle.   The Art Center is also available to rent for private events.  For more information, visit brownwoodart.net,  find us on Facebook, or call 325-641-2916.
