Beginning Tuesday, Dec. 3, the Texas Department of Transportation will perform a resurfacing project on FM 2376 (Custer Rd.), between Stephen F. Austin Dr. and FM 3064 (Morris Shepherd Dr.), near Wright Asphalt and the UPS shipping facility, in Brownwood.

Daily lane closures will occur between the hours of 6 a.m. and approximately 6 p.m., as crews remove a portion of the road surface and then apply a layer of fresh asphalt. Resurfacing helps to prolong the lifespan of the roadway.

This project is expected to last three days and be completed by the end of the day, Thursday, Dec. 5, weather permitting.

Motorists are asked to use caution when driving in and near the work zone, avoid distractions, obey warning signs (especially speed limits) and watch for crews/equipment.
