Pauline was born on February 25, 1936 in Girard, Texas to Alfonso and Maud Martin. Pauline was wife and partner to J D Robinson at J D’s Swap Shop on Hwy 279 at Lake Brownwood. She worked hard to sell wood, rent storage units and run the flea market they owned. In her spare time, they would allow the kids, grandkids and great grandkids to stay at the farm in Bangs. They would play in the creek, fish in the pond, and hunt on the land. There were many campfires and camp stories to be told. Most would know her by Myrtle, a name she was given many eons ago. She loved to hand sew, play Skip-Bo and raising a garden by the shop. She was lovingly called “the Skip-Bo queen.” She was a loving housewife and mother to 6 children.
Pauline is survived by 4 children, Linda Robinson of New Boston, Douglas and wife Alice Robinson of Grand Prairie, Rebecca and spouse Nicole Reed of New Boston, and Tony and wife Justine Robinson of Rising Star. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, eighteen grandkids, twenty-nine great grandkids, eight great-great grandkids and many friends in Bangs, Brownwood and while living in New Boston.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, Alphonso and Maud Martin; one brother, L D Martin; two sisters, Edna Bea Green and Dorthy Walthall; her husband John David Robinson, Sr (J D); her two sons, John David Robinson Jr, and Tracy Dee Robinson; and two great-grandsons.
