The prices of October real estate sales in Brown County were up compared to one year ago, while the number of sales was down, according to data released this week by the Heartland Association of Realtors.  The number of active listings, months of inventory, and days on the market were all higher than October 2023.  Details below.

Median Price:  $183,000 – up 14.4% vs. October 2023

Median Price per Square Foot:  $132.06 – up 8.6%

Closed Sales: 31 – down 11.4%

Active Listings:  191 – up 24.0%

Months of Inventory:  5.7 – 1.5 month higher

Days on Market:  72 – 13 days more

Days to Close:  30 – 3 days fewer

Total Days:  102 – 10 days more

Median Home Size Sold:  1,487 square feet

Median Year Built:  1996

Closing Price/Original List Price:  91.5%

Price Distribution:

less than $100,000:  23.3%

$100,000 – 199,999:  33.3%

$200,000 – 299,999:  10.0%

$300,000 – 399,999:  20.0%
