Lake Brownwood State Park has announced its Holiday at the Lake event for Dec. 13-14.

Celebrate the holiday season with us at the lake by enjoying a drive-through holiday lights display! Campers will have their campsites decorated for you to drive through and view! Make sure to stop by the Group Dining Hall to enjoy a fire with a ranger and paint your own ornament to take home!

Entrance for this event is free – instead, we will be collecting items to help the Brown County Humane Society with their four-legged friends! Needed donation items include:

  • Kitten food (wet and dry
  • Puppy food (wet)
  • Cat food (wet and dry)
  • Cat litter
  • Trash bags (heavy duty 55-60 gallon)
  • Puppy pads
  • Laundry soap
  • Dawn dish soap
  • Paper towels
  • Toilet paper
  • Cat and dog toys

We have free campsites for campers who wish to decorate their campsite and pass out candy for this event. To sign up for a campsite, call the office at 325-784-5223 or send an email to lakebrownwoodsp@tpwd.texas.gov. Campsites are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

  • Where: Willow Point camping loop
  • Dates: December 13 and 14
  • Time: 6 pm – 8 pm
