Dear Reader,

What a joy it is to write to you as the author of The Truth Will Set You Free. This is for you. Regardless of your age, background or profession, I am dedicated to supplying you with an informative analysis of what’s happening in our country and what is effecting us from abroad. Rarely do we find a portion of news that is set apart from political bias and rigid party ideologies. Sadly, the messiness of politics often shuts out the truth and leaves the majority of people uninformed. Instead of providing the public with the facts and leaving them to develop opinions by their own free will, politicians and mainstream news are working tirelessly to determine those opinions for you. This is why I have started this column – to inform readers of major legislative, political and humanitarian activity in laymen terms, in order to provide an unbiased analysis that allows the public to cultivate opinions by their own free will. It must be notified that this column will not engage in ideological favoritism or promote party identification to any degree. Take what you will and leave it at that. I specifically mention using “laymen terminology” and it is important that I do so. Simply put, I am writing for the common person – you & me. There is no need for fancy jargon that takes away from the facts. As I aspire to write for all generations in every area of life, my task is to make it comprehensible and simple.

The truth rests in the facts and thus will set you free.

Sincerely,

Katelyn Sims
