It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rebecca Willey, age 74, of Blanket, TX, who departed this life on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Eastlawn Memorial Park, where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate her extraordinary life. The family will welcome visitors from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Heartland Funeral Home before the service.

Becky was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher, and friend who touched many hearts with her warmth and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. George M. Slayton, former pastor of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church, and his wife, Marion.

She is survived by her devoted husband, RC Willey; her brother, Marshall Slayton (Elaine); and her sister, Pam Thompson (Richard). Becky leaves behind a legacy of love that is deeply cherished by her children, Chris (Connie) Freeland, Kimberly Freeland, and stepson Walker Willey. Her presence will be profoundly missed by her grandchildren—Christopher, Corbin (Annalise), Caleb (Destiny), Connor, Carsten, Calum, Gianluca, Ember, Aeryn—and great-grandchild Atlas, each of whom brought light and joy into her life. Becky is also survived by her nephew, Clay Thompson (Ashley); her niece, Dana Bourke (Tim); and her grandniece and grandnephew, Ally and Tyler Bourke.

Though Becky is no longer with us, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. We invite everyone who loved her to join us in celebrating her life, her love, and the lasting impact she made on her family and community. Let us honor her remarkable spirit and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

Condolences, memories, and tributes can be offered to the family at heartlandfuneralhome.com
