Once again, Scammers are threatening to jail people. This morning, we received information that scammers are posing as our own Troy Carroll and calling from a Brown County Sheriff’s Office phone number.
Please remember, law enforcement will never contact you and expect you to provide financial details over the phone. We never handle warrant payments over the phone!
Be alert to any calls of this type and never give out personal, financial information.
