As we come to the end of football season, it’s time to take credit and shove some losses aside.

The Brownwood Lions did not have a good regular season, BUT their regular season is still going on. Let’s start with the big game of the week. It was Brownwood – Burnet and we won. Now we get to play Stephenville and guess what? We might be supposed to lose but I’m not sure we will. I do know this, we will survive the game and we will get in touch with them again in the playoffs. This may be a Brownwood playoff team that advances farther than a whole lot of them did.

Well, number two on the list, the Dallas Cowboys. They’ll play seventeen games. They may not win another one or they may win all the rest. In the playoffs, I don’t really care how good you are but I do care about how you finish and that’s what the Cowboys haven’t been doing lately. FINISH, please!

I’m going to jump to basketball for a reason. The Mavs are the team that has hardly played, or there is no way you can judge a team.

I think Shaquille -O’Neal picked them to win the NBA Championship. I think the team could very well win it and it will be the second time in history.

Howard Payne’s football team, it’s hard to say. They end up with a record of only three wins against however many losses. I think we will win against East Texas Baptist and that will be it for the season. Howard Payne has to get more players and more real good players sooner than later. The men’s and women’s basketball teams at HPU

should be given a chance. They will be better.

The University of Texas looked like the best team in Texas at one time. Now Texas A&M, I think, has overtaken them. Both will be in the top ten in the nation, but make no mistake, the Aggies are real.

Baseball.

Who cares.

Yankees vs. Dodgers.

The Astros I pick and they lost.

Until next time, so long everybody.
