MINERAL WELLS – The Brownwood Lady Lions slipped to 0-8 in District 6-4A volleyball action and 13-21 on the season with a four-set 25-12, 25-17, 23-25, 25-15 road loss to Mineral Wells Tuesday.

Aniah Hines finished with a team-best 14 kills for the Lady Lions trailed by Aubrie Felux with six, Hannah Deen with five, and Miranda Northcutt and Trinity Roberts with three apiece.

Icess Hall distributed 22 assists followed by Hines with seven.

Deen served four aces while Hall and Maddi Scott chipped in two each.

Defensively, Deen recorded 15 digs along with nine by Hall, eight by Scott, three by Felux, two each by Northcutt and Laine Johnson and one apiece by Hines, Roberts and Inylah Hall.

At the net, Roberts recorded three blocks while Deen, Hines and Northcutt registered one apiece.

Brownwood is back in action at 4:30 p.m. Friday as it hosts Stephenville, and the Lady Lions will conclude their season at 6 p.m. Tuesday at home against Graham.
