Friday, April 18 – Good Friday

Monday, May 26 – Memorial Day

Thursday, June 19 – Juneteenth Independence Day

Friday – July 4 – Independence Day

Monday, September 1 – Labor Day

Monday, October 13 – Columbus Day

Tuesday, November 11 – Veterans Day

Thursday, November 27 – Thanksgiving

Friday, November 28 – Thanksgiving

Wednesday, December 24 – Christmas Eve

Thursday, December 25 – Christmas Day

In other business:

Commissioners heard a presentation from Johnny Hays, a Director of the Brown County Water Improvement District, and John Allen, General Manager of the District.  They recommended the construction of a pedestrian sidewalk near the Lake Brownwood dam, from the boat launch ramp to the trailer parking area.  Currently pedestrians walk on the road from the ramp to the parking area, and is a safety concern.  The Commissioners took no action, but agreed to study the matter with the Water District and cooperate in the construction of the proposed sidewalk.

Upon the request of County Auditor Jennifer Robison, Commissioners declared as surplus two obsolete Stenograph machines.  The machines will be recycled.

Upon the request of Commissioner Wayne Shaw, the Commissioners declared as surplus a John Deere CX15 rotary shredder.  The shredder will be sold on GovDeals.com.

Upon the request of Commissioner Gary Worley, approved $4,500 to send Precinct 1 employee Chad Hallum to a 160-hour class for a Commercial Driver’s License.

Commissioners agreed to leave the burn ban off for the present time.

Commissioners went into an Executive Session for over one hour, but reconvened without comment or action, then adjourned.
