Dustin Shane White, a beloved son, father, and friend, passed away on October 1, 2024, in Santa Anna, Texas. Born on July 3, 1979, in Brownwood, Texas, Dustin grew up in Coleman County and graduated from Santa Anna High School in 1997. Throughout his life, Dustin embodied the spirit of a jack of all trades, undertaking diverse career adventures that included welding, working in the oil field, and showcasing his talents in the professional rodeo arena.

Dustin was always the life of the party, known for his infectious spirit and zest for life. He loved his family and friends immensely, bringing joy and laughter to those who were fortunate enough to know him. His hobbies reflected his adventurous soul; he enjoyed bull fighting, roping, dancing, hog hunting, and fishing. The cowboy way of life was not just a passion for Dustin, but a reflection of his character — tough as nails with a heart full of love.

He leaves behind a legacy of strength and warmth, survived by his son, Rowdy White of Santa Anna; his loving mother, Tammie Franke of Santa Anna; his father, Charlie White and wife Sharon of Dripping Springs; his sister, Tabatha Perkins of Brownwood; and his cherished grandson, Knox White. Dustin also fondly remembered his grandparents, Gaylon Picket of Santa Anna and Rita and Clint Day of Santa Anna. He is further survived by his niece, Cheyenne Perkins; nephew, Hagen Perkins; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will dearly miss him.

Dustin is preceded in death by his grandparents, Roger and Sue White; great-grandparents, Woodrow and Willie Mae Wilson; and one uncle, Terry Picket.

Dustin’s family will host a visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2024, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends are invited to a funeral service celebrating his life at 1:00p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Cross Cut Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

Pallbearers will be Cutter Dickey, Weston Norway, Kevin Hail, Wesley Wilson, Jason Dickey, Dusty McCrary, Trampus Mackey, and Tanner Mackey.

The family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made in memory of Dustin to the State of Texas Kidney Foundation at www.txkidney.org.

We invite you to share fond memories and words of comfort and condolence with the White family by signing the guestbook on Dustin’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com. Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the White family.
