BROCK – The Brownwood Lady Lions dropped their 6-4A volleyball opener to league newcomer Brock in three sets Friday, 25-13, 25-8, 25-15.

Aubrie Felux recorded seven kills for the Lady Lions followed by Aniah Hines with five, Hannah Deen with three, and Miranda Northcutt and Trinity Roberts with two each.

Icess Hall dished out 14 assists trailed by Hines with two and Felux and Maddi Scott with one apiece.

Deen and Laine Johnson each served a pair of aces for Brownwood.

Defensively, Hall led the Lady Lions with 10 digs followed by eight from Johnson seven from Scott, five from Felux, three apiece from Sara Stubblefield and Hines, and one from Deen.

At the net, Hines registered two blocks and Felux was credited with one.

The Lady Lions (13-14, 0-1) are back in action at 6 p.m. Tuesday as they host Glen Rose in the first 6-4A match at Warren Gym this season.
