GATESVILLE – By the narrowest of margins, the Brownwood High tennis team dropped its second straight District 7-4A tennis match Thursday, falling to Gatesville by a 10-9 count.

The Lions won five of their six singles matches as victories were claimed by No. 1 Smith (in three sets over Jack Armstrong), No. 3 Blake Hutchins (6-4, 6-1 over Connally), No. 4 Trine Baugh (6-4, 6-4 over Smith), No. 5 Oplotnik (6-1, 6-0 over Crawford), and No. 6 Martinez (6-1, 6-2 over Rainer).
