Madgie Leola Trammell Stewart, 92 went to be with her loving husband, Ted Monday, September 16, 2024, at Eagle Crest Rapid Recovery/Nursing Home in Houston, Texas,

She was born June 28, 1932, to William Washington Trammell and Velma Viola Varner Trammell in Coleman County, Texas. A resident of Voss area she attended and graduated from Mozelle Schools in 1949.

 Madgie married Ted G. Stewart on Christmas Eve of 1948, they celebrated 64 years of marriage and were blessed with 4 children.  She was a member of the Baptist Church raising her children in Sunday School and Church.  Madgie was a strong-willed woman who was gentle and kind not overbearing.

She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart Ted Stewart, grandson Matthew Young, brother Leslie Gale Trammell, sister Bernice Elwander Williams, Madgie is survived by 2 Sons Merle and wife Alice Stewart of Hempstead, Texas; Jayson and wife Lisa Stewart of Cypress, Texas; 2 Daughters Yvonne and husband Ray Young of Cypress, Texas; Dicey and husband Larry Bergstrom  of Grapevine, Texas, 8 Grandchildren; 19 Great grandchildren with one expected in March.  She was known as “Mama Madge”.

Services will be Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11:00 am at Henderson Funeral Chapel with J. D. Steward officiating.  The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday from 5:00 till 7:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Home. Services are under the direction and care of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman.
