Hendrick’s Centennial Flag-Raising Ceremony set for Sept. 16

Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood issued the following press release Wednesday morning:

Please join us at the Main Entrance, 1501 Burnett Road for a flag raising ceremony, on Monday, September 16 at 10 am, as we celebrate the many successes since we became a member of the Hendrick Health system. We too are proud of the 100 year heritage and the many advances in healthcare offered to our patients in the service area of 24 counties.

As a faith based hospital system, we stand together with our mission statement as our guide.

To deliver high quality healthcare, emphasizing  excellence and compassion consistent with the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.

What: Hendrick Health is celebrating its 100th anniversary with concurrent flag-raising ceremonies at Hendrick Medical Center and Hendrick Medical Center South in Abilene and Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood in Brownwood.

Who: Media partners are welcome to cover the event.

When: Monday, Sept. 16, 2024 , 10 a.m.

Where: At the main entrance of each hospital:

Hendrick Medical Center, 1900 Pine St., Abilene

Hendrick Medical Center South, 6250 U.S.-83, Abilene

Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood, 1501 Burnett Road, Brownwood

Details: Hendrick Health’s original hospital opened as West Texas Baptist Sanitarium Sept. 15, 1924, which today is Hendrick Medical Center. The ceremonies mark the beginning of a year full of celebrations.
