Philip Sutton Gable

Philip Sutton Gable, age 77, of Early, passed away in his home on September 6, 2024. The family will host a memorial service at 2:00PM Saturday, September 14, at Jordan Springs Cemetery.

Philip was born on November 4, 1946 in San Diego, California to Corine and Walter Gable. He attended high school in Spearman, Texas and graduated from high school in Follett, Texas. After graduating from high school, Philip enlisted in the United States Army, where he would remain for the next 20 years of his life. He worked in accounting for 15 years, and then 5 years in club management before he retired with honors. Philip received 4 overseas service ribbons, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medals, and 3 NCO Professional Development Ribbons. Philip was always interested in history of all kinds. He enjoyed building models and loved his dogs.

Philip is survived by his daughter, Candice Ritchie; son, Kevin Gable; grandchildren, Macey and Tegan Ritchie; and sister, Gail Gable Love; and wife, Debbie Gable.

Philip was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Keith Gable.
