Michael Ray Switzer, at 62 years of age, a resident of Brownwood, Texas and after suffering paralyzation from a stroke for multiple years, went home to be with our Lord in heaven on Friday, August 30, 2024. Mike was born in Texarkana, Texas to Marshal Ray and Carol Virginia Switzer.

He was an ordained minister, choir director and member of the Grosvenor Baptist Church. Mike loved the Lord, and he loved sports. You could often hear Mike yelling at the television during a game that wasn’t going his way. Even in his physical state, Mike was an encouragement to many. His will was to overcome his disabilities, but his body became weak; thus, proving in our weakness we are made strong through Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Switzer.

Michael is survived by his loving mother, Carol Switzer, two sisters, one brother and their spouses, five children, and several grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday September 3, 2024, at Heritage Funeral Home Davis Morris Chapel.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday September 3, 2024, at Heritage Funeral Home Davis Morris Chapel. Burial will be at Clear Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Rudloff, Michael Switzer Jr., Tommy Clark, Jerry Loyd, Wayne Forrester, and James Daugherty.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home Davis Morris Chapels.
