Gary Don Bledsoe

Gary Don Bledsoe, 72 of Brownwood passed away August 18, 2024. His family will host a visitation at 10 am on Wednesday, August 28th at the First Baptist Church in Brownwood, a Celebration of Life service will follow at 11 am under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Gary was born on September 5, 1951 in Comanche to Milton and Ione Bledsoe. Gary graduated from Brookesmith High School. He was active in baseball from little league to joining the adult league at church. He loved all sports and was a big fan of Dallas Houston. He enjoyed the history of Brownwood and documenting major events. One of his favorite hobbies was recording movies and pictures of family and friends. He used his filming skills at First Baptist Church with the TV ministries, where he was also a lifetime member. Gary was a caregiver for his mother, and had a wonderful dry sense of humor.

Gary is survived by his niece, Stacy Bledsoe and spouse Gilbert Delgado, nephew, Shane Bledsoe and spouse Kimberly Bledsoe, ex-sister-in-law, Rita Parsons, nephew, Chauncey Parsons and spouse Kimberly Parsons, several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Lewis Bledsoe in 1956, mother, Ione Allgood Bledsoe in 2012, his brother Ray Von Bledsoe in 2022, sister-in-law Linda Bledsoe in 2022.
