Jacqueline Jean King, 66, of Brownwood walked into the arms of Jesus after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis early August 10, 2024.  Jacque was born on February 14th, 1958 in Marlin, TX to Charles and Shirley King. She was the fifth of six children born to the Charles King family.  She grew up in Marlin, TX where she was active in First Baptist Church activities and played saxophone in the marching band, graduating from Marlin High School in 1976. Jacque graduated from Howard Payne University in 1984. Jacqueline served as a probation officer for Brown and Coleman counties. Then worked for the State of Texas, as a parole officer until she became medically disabled. She fought hard to remain active and involved and never met a stranger!

Jacqueline is survived by her brother Chuck (Lynette) King of Sulphur Springs, sisters Gisele Grimes of Brownwood, Melissa King of Waco and Michele (Gary) Richter of Schertz.  She is also survived by her son Joshua (Kristen) Eargle, and grandchildren Kourtney 13, Landrey 11, and Stallings 8 all of Miami, Florida as well as, her daughter Lottie (BJ) Bullock with grandchildren Emma 7, and Maddison 4, of Coleman, Tx. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents Charles and Shirley King, and sister Pamela Hester.

Graveside services to be held in Giddings, Tx at a later date.

The family would like to thank Gary Blake, Malisa Blake and the entire staff at Oak Ridge Manor as well as Interim Hospice of Brownwood in how they loved and cared for our mom and sister.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to rulerofhope.org in honor of Landrey Eargle.

Services entrusted to Brownwood Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.brownwoodfuneralhome.net.
