Jocele D. Schulze (Doyal) affectionately known as Jo, passed away at the age of 84 in Chama, NM. Jo dedicated her life to spreading kindness and love in Early. TX, deeply rooted in her Christian faith. She touched many lives as a dedicated kindergarten teacher in both Midland ISD and Early ISD, where she left a lasting impact on her students, many of whom stayed in touch with her over the years.

Jo was a beacon of love and kindness, always extending a helping hand to both people and animals in need. Her family was the center of her world, especially cherishing moments with her great-grandchildren. Beyond her teaching career, she cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother the most, embracing every moment with immense joy and pride. She also loved to travel both in the U.S. and around the world with her husband, Ray, and in their retirement, they visited Germany, Canada, Washington, and Alaska, just to name a few. They loved to get away from the Texas heat in the Summer by staying in their camper in the mountains of New Mexico where it was green and cool.

She leaves behind a loving family: her husband Wilfred Ray Schulze, her brother Terry Doyal, her son Douglas Schulze and wife Dolores, her daughter Amy Ullestad and husband Brian, her grandchildren Dalton Schulze and Kimberly Butler, and her great-granddaughters Ava and Renly Schulze.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Green Leaf and Ethyl Doyal, and her brothers, Bobby and Gayle Doyal.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. on Friday, August 16, at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Funeral services for Jo will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, August 17, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Bangs Cemetery.

Online condolences, memories and tributes can be made to the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
