June Hodges Ford Guthrie was born in Bangs, TX on June 4, 1925, to Monroe and Ruth Hodges. She died peacefully on July 20, 2024, in Austin, TX, her home for the past 10 years. Funeral services for June will be held at 1 P.M. on Sunday, August 4 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held an hour prior to funeral services.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Jean (JC) Smith and Corine (Wiley) Rogers, her loving husband Donald Ford, her loving husband Wendell Guthrie, her son Jimmy and nephews Elwood (Ann) Smith and Paul Yarbrough.

June is survived by her daughters Judy Ford of Austin and Jan (Sam) Gleaton of Early and her grandchildren Josh (Jonna), James,Jenna, and great grandson, Ford. She will be missed by her niece Patricia Smith Yarbrough, great-nieces Darla, Connie and Jill and great-nephews Mark, Scot, Dennis and Doug.

June served as the Secretary at Crescent Park Church of Christ in Littlefield for 20 years. She enjoyed fishing, camping, music festivals and cornbread and beans. June lived a full life and made us laugh with her dry wit and sense of humor. The people she met, whether the times in the Heart Hospital or the weeks of rehab, loved her and were touched by her positive attitude, her warmth, and her humor.

In her final years, June was showered with love by Judy, family friend Phil, and the pups who adored her. She made a difference, and she will be missed.

Condolences, memories and tributes can be offered to the family online at heartlandfuneralhome.net
