EARLY – The Early Lady Horns’ district volleyball slate has changed slightly, with Tolar joining District 8-3A in place of Brock, which moved up to Class 4A, but the rest of the league foes remain the same.
Head coach Missy Vaughn’s squad will attempt to continue their climb up the league standings after flirting with a postseason berth a year ago.
Before Early gets into district competition, however, pre-district action awaits, including the Aug. 13 season opener at Brownwood.
The Lady Horns also have pre-district road matches slated against Ballinger (Aug. 20) and Coleman (Sept. 3), with home dates versus San Angelo Cornerstone Christian (Aug. 27) and Brady (Sept. 10).
Early will compete in tournaments at Veribest (Aug. 16-17), Brownwood (Aug. 22-24) and Bronte (Aug. 29-30) before 8-3A action arrives.
The league opener falls Sept. 13 at Millsap and district play concludes Oct. 29 at Dublin. Other 8-3A rivals include Breckenridge, Comanche, Dublin, Eastland, and Peaster, along with the addition of Tolar.
The Lady Horns finished the 2023 campaign with a 12-16 overall record and 5-9 mark in district.
