Panther Creek, Santa Anna, Rising Star, Sidney, Priddy and Mullin will join Brownwood, Early, Bangs, Blanket, Brookesmith, May, Zephyr, Comanche, Coleman, San Saba, Goldthwaite, Cross Plains, Richland Springs and Howard Payne to bring BrownwoodNews.com’s number of schools followed to 20.

The first day of preseason practice for high schools is Monday, Aug. 5, and the Pigskin Preview series will return beginning Friday, Aug. 16. The following is the Pigskin Preview schedule:

During the regular season, weekly preview stories for Brownwood, Early and Bangs games will appear on the website on Wednesdays, along with capsules for the 16 additional teams in the BrownwoodNews.com coverage area

Brownwood Lions game stories and photo galleries again will appear before the sun comes up on Saturdays, along with weekend recaps from the Early and Bangs games, as well as a local roundup featuring the remaining squad, and updated district standings.
