Beginning at 1 PM on Thursday, July 25, Austin Avenue will be temporarily closed, between the intersections of Beaver and Bailey Streets, as Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers perform a crash investigation.

It is anticipated that this investigation will last approximately two hours. Austin Avenue will be reopened after DPS completes their work.

Eastbound traffic will be detoured at the intersection of Beaver Street, traveling southeast on Beaver, then to Bailey Street for one block, where traffic will rejoin Austin Avenue. Westbound will travel in the reverse direction. See map for visual.

Truck traffic is asked to take an alternate route, instead of the planned detour, due to tight intersections in this residential area.

When driving in and near this closure and detour route, please obey road signs, especially speed limits, avoid distractions, and utilize patience.
