Elizabeth “Beth” Harrell

Elizabeth “Beth” Juanita (Stockman) Harrell, 84, of Brownwood, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024.  A visitation with family will be held at Heartland Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, July 15, 2024.  A graveside service will be held in the Lost Creek Cemetery on County Road 411 West of May, Texas at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, July 16, 2024 with Jose Carbajal officiating.

Beth was born July 10, 1940 to Thomas Allen Stockman and Katherine Esther (Fuchs) Stockman attended school at May, Texas where she met the love of her life, Burl Ralph Harrell and the two were married July 12, 1956 starting a life together that blessed them with 4 boys and many grandchildren.  Beth moved all over Texas with Burl raising the boys and moved to North Carolina in the late 80s where she worked in the textile industry.  They stayed in North Carolina until the early 2000’s when they moved back to Texas and settled in Pleasant Valley – May, TX. Beth was retired at this point and she spent time gardening, watching the food network, diamond painting, puzzles, reading books, loved doing genealogy, traveling and her favorite past time was spending time with her grandkids, great grandkids playing games and cooking.  Beth lived to take care of her family, they were her greatest joy.

Beth is survived by her sons, Robert Harrell and wife Mary of Taylorsville, NC, Michael Harrell and wife Kathryn of Brownwood, Texas, Steven Harrell and wife Beth of Morganton, NC, and JD Harrell of Brownwood; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many friends.

Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Burl Ralph Harrell; parents, Thomas & Katherine Stockman; 2 brothers, John Edward Stockman & Robert Lynn Stockman.
