The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of July 10:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 87 degrees; 2.25 feet below pool. Black bass are slow with catches up to 5.40 pounds on Hag’s tungsten tsunami jigs, shaky heads in 6-20 feet of water, and topwaters in 2-8 feet of water. Crappie are slow around docks on minnows in 14 feet of water. White bass are slow with catches up to 10 inches on crankbaits and crappie jigs under the lights at night. Catfish are slow with catches up to 5 pounds on prepared bait on the main lake.

LAKE CISCO

GOOD. Water normal stain; 82 degrees; 12.51 feet below pool. Channel catfish are great on perch and cutbait. Sunfish are good on worms. The lake should turnover in the next few days, if this happens the bite will slow. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.

LAKE COLEMAN

SLOW. Water stained; 80 degrees; 3.00 feet below pool. Largemouth bass are biting topwaters in the morning. Later in the day target standing timber with finesse baits.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 83 degrees; 30.36 feet below pool. Lake level is slowly dropping. Black bass are fair with catches up to 10 pounders. There is an early morning and midday topwater bite in the tops of big trees while bass chase bait. Rage tail Magnum cutter worms in red bug and hard candy in 8-12 feet of Water Texas rigged. Also on a half ounce Shaky Head with a Hag’s tornado F8 or F 6.5. Have a small minnow type swimbait ready when you come across schooling bass. Crappie are good with some limits reported suspended in big pecan trees on minnows and jigs 6-12 feet deep. White bass are fair with some quick schooling activity. Catfish are good on shrimp and cut bait. Some are shallow in 5 feet.  Report by Wendell Ramsey, Ramsey Fishing.

LAKE PROCTOR

GOOD. Water stained; 85 degrees; 2.18 feet below pool. Low flow gates are open so there is a current flowing through the gate. Lots of newly submerged vegetation for fish to be scattered in. Hybrid striped bass were restocked. Hybrids can be caught along promontory point trolling.
