The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of June 27:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 85 degrees; 1.94 feet below pool. Black bass to 6.42 pounds are good on Hag’s green pumpkin tungsten tsunami jigs, shaky heads and topwaters in 2-10 feet of water. Crappie to 14 inches are good around docks on minnows and jigs in 10-15 feet of water. White bass are fair on crankbaits and crappie jigs with some topwater action early and late. Fish are 10-12 inches. Catfish are slow with 5 pound fish being caught on grasshoppers or prepared bait and on jug lines on the main lake.

LAKE CISCO

GOOD. Water normal stain; 79 degrees; 12.24 feet below pool. Water temperatures are warm and the lake clarity is normal. Perch, crappie and bass are all biting good. The occasional channel catfish can be caught on minnows and worms. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.

LAKE COLEMAN

SLOW. Water stained; 80 degrees; 2.68 feet below pool. Expect the bite to slow, and fish to explore new submerged vegetation. Largemouth bass are biting topwaters in the morning.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 83 degrees; 29.73 feet below pool.  Black bass are fair with catches up to 10 pounds. Some summer schooling has begun. Best bite is in the afternoon on 5-7 inch swimbaits in 8-22 feet of water. Whopper Ploppers are fair early before sun up. Crappie fishing is improving in the river around hardwoods in 12-18 feet. Small white jigs with red heads. White bass are fair trolling channels in the main lake on crankbaits. Catfish are good on chicken liver and stinkbait in shallow water .  Report by Wendell Ramsey, Ramsey Fishing.

LAKE PROCTOR
