The Comanche Police Department issued the following press release Wednesday afternoon:

On Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at approximately 2:58 a.m., the Comanche Police Department, the Comanche County Sheriff’s Office and the Comanche Volunteer Fire Department responded to a house fire that was fully engulfed in the 500 block of South Bryan Street in Comanche, Texas.

Upon extinguishing the fire and making entry into the house, one person was found deceased. This is an on-going investigation with assistance from the State Fire Marshal’s Office. Therefore, the name of the deceased with not be made public until positive identification is made by the Medical Examiner’s Office. At this time, no foul play is suspected.
