The Bombers Sheffield 10u went 5-1 on the weekend and earned some bling as tournament finalist. They beat a very good American Freedom team and Premiere team to head to the championship, but came up short against a very solid Buzz team in the championship 7-2.

Leila Wyatt was named tournament MVP. She hit .556 on the weekend and battled hard catching behind the plate inning after inning in the heat. Scout Sheffield led the team with a .600 average at the plate. Bailey Huff hit .545, Lyla Worley hit .400 and Fynlee Brown hit .375.
Taylin Slone pitched 8 innings and had 13 strikeouts. Camdyn Nelson pitched 6 innings and had 8 strikeouts. Scout Sheffield pitched 3 innings with 5 strikeouts.
Scout Sheffield and Bailey Huff pulled a double play. Lyla Worley had an awesome catch in the outfield. Fynlee Brown was playing all different positions all weekend to help her team wherever she was needed. Peyton Head came up with a huge bunt in bracket game and then came up with a great hit up the middle to ensure a win in another bracket game. Hannah Armstrong gunned the ball home from center to save a tying run from coming in. Bailey Huff hit a grand slam to the Bombers ahead in an intense bracket game. There were so many players who came up huge all weekend.
The girls played hard for their teammate Taylor Dunn who has been out with health issues. The entire weekend was dedicated to #7. The Bombers played “Taylor style” softball, showing tons of hustle and heart.
10u has three more  tournaments slated for July, with one being a trip to the national championships.
