Fay Harrell, a devoted wife, loving mother, and dedicated homemaker, passed away on June 24, 2024, in Fredericksburg, Texas. Born on January 13, 1938, in Novice, Texas, Fay led a life filled with love and cherished moments with her family.

Fay’s primary role in life was caring for her family and home. Her unwavering love and fierce dedication to her loved ones defined her essence. She found true joy in spending quality time with her family members and created countless unforgettable memories with them.

In her leisure time, Fay indulged in hobbies such as quilting, gardening, and canning. These activities brought her immense satisfaction and allowed her to showcase her creativity and nurturing spirit. Fay lived in Coleman, Big Spring, and Snyder before relocating to Fredericksburg.

Fay’s proudest accomplishment was her marriage to Alvin Harrell on December 14, 1958, in Coleman and being a mother to David. She was an active member of Elm Street Church of Christ and later attended the 37th Street Church of Christ in Snyder.

Fay will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving son, David Harrell and his wife Nila of Fredericksburg; two grandchildren, Lucas Harrell and his wife Megan, and Ellis Harrell; one brother, David Perkins and his wife Carolyn of Abilene; as well as two sisters, Betty Glenn of Arlington, and Nellie Perkins of Coleman.

Fay is preceded in death by her parents, Ritchie David Perkins and Myrtle Gilliam Stratton Perkins; her husband Alvin Harrell; one sister, Emmer Altom; and one brother, R.D. Perkins.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Fay’s life on Friday, June 28, 2024. A graveside service will be held at 9:00 AM at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion. A memorial service will follow the graveside at 10:00 AM at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman with Levi Sizemore officiating. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home.

The family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in memory of Fay be made to World Bible School at www.worldbibleschool.net.

Fay’s kindness, warmth, and endless love will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace knowing that she leaves behind a legacy of love and care that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
