Benny Wayne Langley, age 67, of Brownwood, passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord surrounded by his loving family, on June 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of serving God.  His life was a testament to faith, love and service to others.  A visitation will be held on June 12, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Heartland Funeral Home in Early.  Funeral services will be on June 13, 2024 at 2:00pm at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church with Rick Cavitt officiating.  Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early.

Benny was born on December 21, 1956, in Coleman, Texas, to Cecil and Patsy Langley.  He moved to Brownwood in sixth grade and graduated from Brownwood High School in 1975.  He retired from 3M after 46 years of service, where his hard work and dedication made a significant impact.

A man of deep faith, Benny was an active member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church where he served the Lord.  He was known for his deep commitment to his Christian faith and always striving to do God’s work.

A loving husband of 40 years to his cherished wife, Melinda Brownlee Langley, he was a pillar of strength and support to his family.  His daughter, Kassidi Langley Seaton and husband Kyle, and grandchildren Ellie and Evie Seaton brought him immense joy and were his greatest blessings.  Nothing made him happier than time spent with family making memories. He enjoyed the Texas Rangers, grilling, golfing, traveling, and being active outdoors.  He is survived by sister, Barbara Glenn; brothers, Mike Langley and wife Diana, and Donnie Langley; numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends.  He is preceded in death by his father, Cecil Langley, mother Patsy Langley and brother, Stephen Langley.

Benny’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

Online condolences, memories and tributes can be made to the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
