Logan Eugene Keeney, a self-taught mechanic who had a deep passion for working on engines, passed away in Coleman, Texas on June 9, 2024. He was born in Coleman on November 20, 2003.

Logan’s journey began in Abilene where he attended elementary and junior high school before completing his education at Coleman High School. His dedication to learning and his love for all things were evident throughout his life.  He was a self-taught mechanic, taking pride in every vehicle he owned and that he repaired for others.  Logan found joy in fishing and cherishing moments with his family. His love for animals, especially dogs, was a true reflection of his kind-hearted nature.

Logan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Ritha Keeney; his brother, Tanner Keeney, uncle Tom Keeney, and father-figure, Ayo Aladefa. He is survived by his father and step-mother, Tim and Toni Keeney of Fort Worth; his Aunt also known as mom, Marlais Keeney and her fiancée Donny Smith of Coleman; sister Shayna Metcalf and her husband John III of Santa Anna; as well as six nephews: Kaiden Metcalf, Kory Metcalf, Jayden Keeney, Chasen Keeney, Easton Keeney, and Lyric Keeney.

The family will host a visitation for Logan on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street in Coleman.  A graveside service follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Anna Cemetery Pavilion.  Burial will be in the Santa Anna Cemetery.

Logan Keeney will be remembered for his hard work, dedication to family, and the love he shared with those around him. May he rest in peace.  Condolences and remembrances can be left on Logan’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com.  Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the Keeney family.
