Frank Allgood, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on June 8, 2024. His family will host a visitation from 6:00-8:00 pm at Heartland Funeral home on Wednesday June 12, 2024. A graveside service, officiated by Terry Simmons, will be held on Thursday June 13, at 10:00 AM at Eastlawn Memorial Park.

Frank was born on January 14, 1945 to Bud and Jewel Allgood in Brownwood. He attended and graduated from Brownwood High School in 1963. On October 10, 1964, he married the love of his life, Mary Davis-Allgood. Frank and Mary celebrated a wonderful 59 years of marriage where God blessed them with three children- Michelle, Sheila, and Robert. He was an avid golfer who spent most of his days at the course with some of his closest friends and family. When he wasn’t golfing, he could be found in front of the TV cheering on the Texas Rangers.

Frank worked as an electrician throughout the community for more than 60 years. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was our “Mr. Fix It”. He later went on to work at TR Havens Unit for 13 years before retiring.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mary; Daughter Michelle and husband Shane; Daughter Sheila and husband Jerry; Son Robert and wife Sarah; Brother Eual; Sister Susie; Brother-in-law Richard and Jeannie; as well as 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bud and Jewel; Sister Pat and her husband Wayne Guill; and his in-laws Ralph and Mildred Davis. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Online condolences, memories and tributes can be made to the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
