Brownwood Superintendent Dr. Joe Young on Monday was named the TASB Region 15 Superintendent of the Year.
On March 18, the Brownwood ISD Board of Trustees nominate Young for TASB Superintendent of the Year. Young is now a two-time winner of the honor, the first occurring in 2020.
BISD Board of Trustees President Michael Cloy said during the meeting, “He was nominated once before, about four years ago, and won Superintendent of the Year for Region 15. He actually made it into the Top 5 superintendents in the state of Texas. I think he needs another shot to be No. 1. It’s a major league honor.”
On June 2, Young was recognized as the Texas High School Athletic Director Association Superintendent of the Year during their banquet in Round Rock.
