The Brown County Rodeo will take place for the 60th time Thursday, June 13 through Saturday, June 15 at the Earl Q. Wilson Arena, located at the Brown County Fairgrounds at 4206 U.S. Highway 377 South.

Action begins each night with Mutton Bustin’ at 7:30 p.m. Registration begins at 6:45 p.m. and the cost is $5 per child. Mutton Bustin’ is open to kids ages 8 and under and less than 65 pounds. For more information, call Stevi at 325-998-6026.

The James Andrews Rodeo Company will again provide the stock, the San Angelo Rodeo Ambassadors will perform each evening, and this year’s specialty act is Kenny Bartram and the Steel Rodeo on motorcycles. T.C. Long returns as announcer for the event, while Cliff ‘Hollywood’ Harris will be the barrel man.

Veterans will be honored Thursday night with free admission.

On the Brown County Fair Association Facebook page, a contest for free box seats for opening night is taking place. The requirements are to post your favorite personal video from your time at the rodeo.

The rodeo is also back this year, which will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday in downtown Brownwood. The route will be the same as the annual Lighted Christmas Parade. For more information, call Meredith at 325-642-3819.

Pre-sale tickets are $10 and available at KOXE, located at 300 Carnegie in downtown Brownwood. Tickets at the gate are $12 for adults, and those ages 12 and under can attend for free.

The rodeo will be broadcast on KOXE FM 101.3 and livestreamed on KOXE.com beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
